SCOUT ADVENTURES
Strataca offers unique underground experiences that have become very popular with visiting Scout troops. Our goal is to give Scouts a chance to learn about the history and geology of the mine and the surrounding area. Scouts will also get to explore the mine’s underground world and participate in hands-on activities that will teach them about the mining process and the important role it played in our country’s development.
Strataca Scout Overnights are held during the fall & winter.
Stay tuned, as we will release new dates for the upcoming fall/winter 2025-2026 season at the end of May!
Cost
Scout Information
- Scouts must be 10-18 years of age.
- Reservations are required, with a signed contract/deposit due two weeks after the reservation is made.
- 1 Adult is required for every 5 scouts.
- Maximum capacity for the Double Merit Overnight is 100, with troops combined, a minimum of 50 is required to host the overnight.
- Packing instructions, required equipment, and arrival times will be sent to the Scout Master who makes the reservations.
