Help US Secure a $10,000 Match on Match Day, 11/28!

Posted on October 15th, 2012

Match Day on Wednesday, November 28, holds incredible opportunity for us. On that day, Hutchinson Community Foundation will match donations made to our endowment fund our long-term savings and with your help, we could potentially receive a $10,000 match.

Here’s how Match Day works:

Come to the event and make a donation.

Date: Wednesday, November 28

Time: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Place: Eagle Media Center, 9th and Main

  • Matching funds will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there are 26 nonprofits competing for the $40,000 total pot ($10,000 max per organization).
  • Matching funds could run out at some point during the day, so plan to come early. But if you can’t make it in the morning, come when it’s convenient because we could win cash prizes for bringing in the most donors or the most money overall.
  • Individual contributions ranging from $20 to $1,000 per organization will be matched at $.50 per $1, so a donation of $1,000 can receive a $500 match. Of course we will gladly accept donations greater than $1,000!
  • In order to receive a match, a check must be made payable to Hutchinson Community Foundation and delivered in person to Eagle Media. A separate form will be used to indicate which endowment(s) will benefit. For more details, visit HutchCF.org.

Building our endowment is critical for our future, but it does not replace the needs supported by our annual membership campaign. Match Day is a one-time opportunity to dig deeper, to grow our endowment exponentially, so that we can enrich our attraction for even greater impact.

This is a one-time chance to multiply the difference we make, and it’s truly a missed opportunity if we don’t take full advantage. Thank you for considering a gift to KUSM on Match Day to help us maximize our growth.
